Photo of the Day
Shot taken from near the northeast rim area. The three other guys are my other companions on the boat. I picked up rocks here for souvenirs, and for those asking for any "presents" from the trip. The rocks are nice, they last longer than food or shirts — and the most important part is, they cost nothing. Not bad for a present. Problem is, my backpack was almost 10 kilos heavier when I returned, but its ok. Seven years ago, I hiked the more than 15km route, under the rain, and sun, with almost 30 kilos on my backpack.
Basically, there were four of us on the boat as we paddled to the lake. The boat fare is 250 pesos, about five US dollars. No time limit. But with these turbulent confusing and swirling current you don’t want to be still paddling around at dusk.
